About the Blog

Mission: The mission of this NASIG blog is to provide a fast, focused and flexible format for publishing information about events, activities, presentations, or publications related to NASIG or of interest to NASIG members. The NASIG Newsletter provides a more formal/official publication of NASIG activities.

Bloggers: All NASIG members are invited to post to the NASIG blog. E-mail communications@nasig.org to request permissions to post. The blog editors will set you up as an author. If you don’t have a WordPress account, you may need to register for a username/password.

Blog Editors: Members of the Communications Committee (CC) will monitor the blog, assist potential bloggers with access and posting problems, and provide general oversight. Conference information will be posted by the Conference Planning (CPC) and Program Planning (PPC) Committees and they may also monitor and respond to comments.

Acceptable Use: The NASIG blog is a NASIG-sponsored tool for use within NASIG and for outreach beyond NASIG.  Lively opinion and commentary are welcome.  However, it is expected that blog postings will be professional, constructive and respectful. The NASIG blog editors reserve the right to remove inappropriate postings at their discretion.

Comments: Commentary, opinion, and reaction to posts are welcome. The NASIG blog editors reserve the right to remove inappropriate comments at their discretion.

License: In accordance with NASIG’s vision to “facilitate and improve the distribution, acquisition, and long-term accessibility of information resources in all formats,” as of January 1, 2023, content published on the NASIG blog is published under a CC-BY license. This means that readers are free to share and adapt content, but must credit the initial author when doing so.
