We are counting down the days until NASIG’s 33rd Annual Conference: Transforming the Information Community begins and it won’t be long now! Here is some useful information to help plan your trip.
The weather in the Atlanta area during the early summer is warm and changeable. The 10-day forecast currently calls for temperatures in the high 80’s Thursday–Monday (June 7-11), cloudy with the possibility of scattered showers. The best strategy is to dress in layers as it may be cool in the air conditioning of the hotel and quite warm outside. If you have room to pack an umbrella, it would be a good idea to have one on hand!
Registration will be held in the Meeting Planner’s office in the Hyatt on the Lobby Level (a map will be included in your conference packet). After walking past the elevators, turn right at the Grand Staircase, pass the restrooms and the Registration Desk will be on your right.

Thursday, June 7th – 7:00am to 5:00pm
Friday June 8th – 7:00am to 5:30pm
Saturday June 9th – 7:00am to 5:00pm
Sunday June 10th – 7:00am to 9:30am
The vendor expo is being held Saturday June 9th from 11:45am-3:45pm in the Hyatt on the Lower Lobby Level. All conference attendees are encouraged to visit the expo and grab lunch. The conference opening session will be held on Friday June 8th at 5:30pm in the Grand Ballroom II/III. The conference reception will begin immediately afterward and will offer a delicious dinner of Southern classics, cash bar, music, Bingo and giveaways. It will be a great time to relax after a day of travel and catch-up with your fellow NASIG attendees!
We encourage you to print your own program schedule if needed or save a few trees by accessing the information online via https://nasig2018.sched.com/. Free tote bags will not be provided at this year’s conference, so bring your own! If you have extra tote bags at home, you can bring them to give away to your fellow conference goers. Also, consider bringing a travel mug for coffee or a water bottle.
You are on your own for dinner Saturday and Sunday night so we are offering dine-arounds both nights. The sign-up sheet is online and is located on this google document. Be sure to pick the date for which you are signing-up: Either June 9th and/or June 10th.
