The Nominations and Election Committee is looking at revising the nomination and vetting process. You may recall that a brainstorming session was held at the annual conference. The following four questions were discussed. As part of our deliberation process, the committee would like your input.

Question 1. During the election cycle, which works better for voters, the NASIG Nominee Profile form or standard CV and position statement?
Question 2. Should NASIG go to a totally open election process and abandon the vetting process for all positions, or just the keep vetting for the President and Treasurer?
Question 3. Should “petition candidate” be delineated on the ballot to identify individuals who did not go through the vetting process?
Question 4. Should the timing of the election cycle be changed? Should the call for petition candidates come out at the same time as nominations, or should the slate be announced before petitions are called for?
